Personal:Â Tate Meyer is from Quincy, Illinois, and attended Quincy Senior High School, where he was a dedicated Blue Devil athlete. The son of Teddy and Michelle Meyer, Tate has three siblings: Madeline, Ty, and Elle.Â
Throughout high school, he was involved in choir all four years and excelled as a three-sport athlete, competing in football, basketball, and baseball. Tate began his college football career at Judson University in 2021 but returned home to Quincy after a year. Despite facing setbacks with three surgeries, including a collarbone and left ACL injury, he showed remarkable resilience, improving his GPA from 1.38 in his first college semester to 3.47. In the shortened COVID season, he led his team in rushing and passing yards after only two games before an injury sidelined him for the remainder of the six-game schedule.Â
Off the field, Tate enjoys spending time with the Lord Jesus Christ, fishing, traveling, hiking, singing, and playing guitar and ukulele. His sports inspirations include Josh Allen, Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, Stephen Curry, and Yadier Molina, and he supports teams like the Chicago Bears, St. Louis Cardinals, and Golden State Warriors.
