Biography

2024 (Sophomore): As a sophomore, Oliver-Ross appeared in two games, where he recorded two tackles, including a 0.5 tackle for loss.

2023 (Freshman): In his freshman season, Josiah saw action in seven games, where he had four total tackles, including a tackle for loss. He also served as a kick returner for QU, returning four kickoffs for 55 total yards, good for an average of 13.8 yards per return. He made his collegiate debut against Fontbonne (9/14/23), where he returned one kickoff for six yards. His season-long in the kick return department came against Walsh (9/22/23), where he had a 20-yard return, the same game he recorded his first career tackle. 

Personal: Josiah Oliver-Ross, from Sedalia, Missouri, attended Smith-Cotton High School where he competed as a wrestler for the Tigers. A standout both on and off the mat, Josiah earned the Character and Leadership All-American Award, became a member of the 100 Win Club, and was a two-time recipient of the Iron Man Award. He was the Missouri Freestyle and Greco State Champion and was ranked 2nd in the state for wrestling at one point. He also represented Team Missouri as a varsity wrestler at 170 pounds. Josiah is the son of Elizabeth and Anthony Ross and has eight siblings: Wesley, Gunnar, Jaiden, Deandrew, Nyia, Malachi, Alana, and Chloe. In his free time, he enjoys fishing and going on long jogs. His favorite athlete is Odell Beckham Jr., and he is a fan of the Seattle Seahawks.
