2023 (Freshman): As a freshman, Davis recorded eight tackles and one pass breakup. Earnest made his collegiate debut against Fontbonne (9/14/23) and recorded his first career tackle against Walsh (9/22/23).

Personal: Earnest “EJ” Davis is from Chicago, Illinois, and attended Chicago Academy High School, where he played football for the Cougars. He is the son of Chisoni and Earnest Davis and has siblings Caharey, Licia, Tricia, Ebony, Amari, and Marcus. EJ was named to the 3A All-State Academic Team, is a 3X All-Conference player, and earned honors on both the Chicago Public League Team and Chicago All-Area Team. He helped lead his team to a Blue North Conference Championship. During his senior season, EJ passed for 1,600 yards and 19 touchdowns and rushed for 800 yards and eight touchdowns. Off the field, he enjoys building with Legos. His favorite athlete is Jalen Ramsey, and he supports the Los Angeles Chargers and Los Angeles Rams.
