Personal:Â Madlyn Findley is from Knoxville, Iowa, and graduated from Knoxville High School, where she was a proud Panther. She is the daughter of Dan and Brandi Findley and has a sister named Sierra.
Madlyn stood out academically, finishing top-15 in her class and earning a spot in the National Honor Society. Athletically, she has been a powerhouse on the softball field—starting every varsity game since 8th grade, totaling an incredible 135 games. Her consistent excellence earned her Honorable Mention All-Conference in 8th grade, second-team honors for her freshman through junior seasons, and first-team All-Conference her senior year. Impressively, she recorded fewer than 20 strikeouts at the plate across her five-year varsity career.
Outside of school and sports, Madlyn is a regular at the Knoxville Raceway, known as the largest dirt track for sprint cars in the world. She has worked there since age 14 and spends nearly every weekend at the races. When she is not at the track, her favorite getaway is boating at Lake of the Ozarks, a cherished family tradition. Madlyn draws inspiration from Kobe Bryant and Lindsay Diehl, and cheers for the Chicago Cubs and Bears.Â
Why QU?
I chose QU because it felt right when I stepped on campus. I love the smaller class sizes, giving the students a better opportunity to communicate with professors. I thought the athletics were a tight-knit community but also had relationships with non-athletics.
