Biography

2025 (Freshman): In her freshman season, Biggerstaff appeared and started all 48 games, serving as the primary catcher for the Hawks, where she had a slash line of .259/.353/.356. She tallied six doubles, two triples, and one home run, driving in 15 and scoring 19 runs. Defensively, she was one of the best at throwing runners out, as she was tied for third in Division II and first in the GLVC with 17 runners caught on the bases. Kinsey made four errors on 204 chances, good for a .980 fielding percentage. 

She made her collegiate debut against Parkside (2/14/25), where he recorded two hits, stole a base, and also threw out her first career baserunner on defense. Her first collegiate home run came in a win over McKendree (4/25/25) with a solo shot in the fifth inning.

Personal: Biggerstaff hops across the Mississippi River to join the Hawks softball program, as she hails from Canton, Missouri, where she attended Canton High School. Kinsey made a significant impact on the field, earning numerous accolades throughout her high school career. In softball, she was a four-time All-District and All-Region selection, a two-time First Team All-State honoree (11th and 12th grade), and a Second Team All-State selection as a sophomore. She was named KHQA Fall Female Athlete of the Year in 2022, Hannibal Courier Softball Player of the Year in 2022, Newcomer of the Year in 2020, and Defensive Player of the Year in both 2021 and 2023. Additionally, she was a member of the Class 1 All-Tournament Team in 2022. Beyond softball, Kinsey also excelled in soccer, earning All-District, All-Region, and All-State honors in both 2021 and 2022. She played a key role in her team’s success, contributing to three district championships and helping lead Canton to the 2022 Missouri Class 1 Softball State Championship.

Off the field, Kinsey was equally accomplished in the classroom. She graduated as valedictorian and was a four-time recipient of the Leadership Award. She was a member of the National Honor Society and served as Senior Class Treasurer. Kinsey is the daughter of Susan and Scott Biggerstaff and is the sister of Trevor and Tyler. She looks up to athletes like Odicci Alexander, Simone Biles, and Yadier Molina, and is a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Mizzou Softball, and the Kansas City Chiefs.


Why QU?
I chose QU because it is close to home, which is something that I was looking for. It also gave me the opportunity to continue my athletic career.
