Biography

Personal: Hannah Uhles is from Carrollton, Illinois, and is a graduate of Carrollton High School, where she competed for the Hawks and authored one of the most accomplished careers in program history. The daughter of James and Amelia Uhles, Hannah has three siblings, Ava, Noah, and Caleb. She was the valedictorian of her graduating class and was heavily involved on campus, participating in Spanish Club, Art Club, Civics Club, Physics Club, Mathletes, and FBLA throughout all four years.

A dominant multi-dimensional athlete, Hannah was a setter who surpassed 1,000 career assists during the 2023–24 season, while also rewriting the softball record book. During her senior year, she posted 87 hits and 78 RBIs, both Illinois Class 1A records, while leading the class with 21 home runs and setting a school record with a .649 batting average. In the circle, she finished 18–1 with a 1.25 ERA, 117 strikeouts in 89.1 innings, and held opponents to a .189 batting average. Her performance powered Carrollton to its first-ever Class 1A Softball State Championship, capping a historic 38–1 season that set a school record for wins and stands among the greatest seasons in Illinois softball history.

Away from competition, Hannah enjoys watching Netflix, playing pickleball, reading, and doing her nails. Her favorite athletes are Nijaree Canady and Shohei Ohtani, and she is a fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers women's volleyball and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Why QU?
I chose QU because I loved the size of the campus and how most of the student body is athletes.
