Biography

2025-26 (Junior): Flynn made an immediate impact in her first season with the Hawks, appearing in and starting all 28 games. She led Quincy in minutes, scoring, and assists, averaging 11.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.2 steals across 33.4 minutes per game. Her minutes and assists both ranked eighth in the GLVC, while her 1.35 assist-to-turnover ratio ranked sixth.

Flynn shot 43.4 percent from the field, a team-best 39.6 percent from three-point range, and a team-best 80.8 percent from the free throw line, which ranked eighth in the GLVC. She scored in double figures 18 times, led the Hawks in scoring nine times, assists 14 times, blocks seven times, and steals eight times.

Flynn made her Quincy debut against Cedarville (11/14/25), scoring 17 points with four assists and four rebounds. She scored a season-high 32 points against Ursuline (11/15/25) and recorded one double-double against Truman State (1/22/26) with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

2024-25 (Sophomore at Maryville): Flynn appeared in 14 games during her lone season at Maryville, totaling 71 minutes of action. She finished the year with 14 points, eight rebounds, five assists, four steals, and two blocks. Flynn scored a season-high seven points against UHSP (12/16/24).

2023-24 (Freshman at JWCC): Flynn put together an explosive freshman campaign at John Wood Community College, starting all 30 games for the Blazers. She led the team in points per game (19.8), field goals made (6.4), free throw percentage (84.9), and rebounds per game (7.1), while also averaging 2.3 assists and 2.4 steals per contest.

Flynn made her collegiate debut against Culver-Stockton (11/1/23), scoring 23 points on 8-of-16 shooting. She reached double figures in all but two games and scored 20 or more points 18 times, including a season-high 28 points twice. Flynn also grabbed double-digit rebounds in six games, which resulted in five double-doubles, highlighted by a season-best 17 boards in a win over Neosho County Community College (12/1/23).

Personal: Katey Flynn is from Mt. Sterling, Illinois, and graduated from Brown County High School. She began her collegiate career at John Wood Community College during her freshman year and then continued at Maryville University for her sophomore year before transferring to Quincy University. Katey is the daughter of Jeremy and Jessica Flynn and has three siblings: Klare, Izzy, and Connor.
