Biography
Career (2023-26): Huffman appeared in 199 games with 189 starts during his four-year career with the Hawks. He finished with a .303 batting average, .423 on-base percentage, .506 slugging percentage, and .929 OPS.
Huffman totaled 201 hits, 36 doubles, 33 home runs, 149 RBIs, 102 walks, 44 hit by pitches, 171 runs scored, and 38 stolen bases. His 171 runs scored rank fifth all-time in Quincy history, and he also recorded 51 career multi-hit games.

2026 (Senior): Huffman started all 48 games during his senior season with the Hawks, posting a .344 batting average, .477 on-base percentage, .552 slugging percentage, and 1.029 OPS. He recorded 10 doubles, eight home runs, 52 RBIs, and 54 runs scored.
Huffman also drew 31 walks, was hit by 16 pitches, and went 20-for-21 in stolen base attempts. He finished the season with 18 multi-hit games and reached base in all but two contests. Huffman put together a 12-game hitting streak during the year, including eight straight games with at least two hits, and added a two-home run performance against Davenport (2/27/26).
2025 (Junior): Huffman was one of two Hawks to appear in and start all 53 games during his junior season. He posted a .296 batting average, .409 on-base percentage, and .529 slugging percentage across 189 at-bats.
Huffman ranked second on the team in doubles (11), home runs (11), total bases (100), and walks (22), while leading the Hawks with 17 hit by pitches. He also drove in 44 runs and scored 41 times. Huffman finished the season with 12 multi-hit games and an 11-game hitting streak, highlighted by a two-home run, six-RBI performance in a win over Colorado School of Mines (2/28/25).
2024 (Sophomore): Huffman appeared in and started all 54 games during his sophomore season with the Hawks. He hit .298 with nine doubles, seven home runs, and 34 RBIs while becoming a consistent presence in the Quincy lineup.
Huffman recorded 15 multi-hit games and put together two hitting streaks of at least nine games. His top power performance came against McKendree (4/28/24), when he launched three home runs for the first multi-home run game of his career.

2023 (Freshman): Huffman appeared in 43 games and made 33 starts during his freshman season with the Hawks. He posted a .264 batting average, .421 on-base percentage, and .509 slugging percentage while recording six doubles, seven home runs, and 18 RBIs.
Huffman made his collegiate debut against Tampa (2/10/23) before earning his first career start against Rollins (2/16/23), where he recorded his first collegiate hit. He hit the first home run of his career in game two of a doubleheader against Northwood (4/3/23) and finished the season with six multi-hit games.
Personal: Joe Huffman comes from Avon, Indiana, and attended Avon High School, where he was a second-team All-State selection in both 2021 and 2022. Huffman also received the District K Player of the Year in 2022. Huffman holds his high school’s career batting average record at .444. His favorite athlete is Aaron Judge, and his favorite team is the New York Yankees. Joe Huffman is the son of Brian and Andrea Huffman, and he has one sister named Sydney.
