Biography

2025 (Senior): In his senior season, Gunnar saw action in seven games and 21 sets, where he had 11 kills, two assists, four digs, and six blocks for a total of 17.5 points. 

2024 (Junior): Did not see action.

2023 (Sophomore): As a sophomore, Gunnar appeared in two games for a total of three sets, where he had three kills. He earned his first career kill against Missouri S&T (1/27/23).

2022 (Freshman): Appeared in one game, making his collegiate debut by subbing into a set against Lincoln Memorial (3/13/22).

Personal: Kukkonen is from Thornton, Colorado, where he graduated from The Academy of Charter Schools. He is the son of Christine and Chris Kukkonen. In his free time, he enjoys reading and is a fan of Kawhi Leonard and the Denver Nuggets.
