Rob Samp joined the QU men's volleyball staff as a graduate assistant prior to the 2014-15 academic year. He comes to Quincy after coaching with Ultimate Volleyball club last year, while also assisting with the boys and girls teams at his alma mater Wheaton Warrenville South High School. He also coached the boys freshman team at the school.
Samp had a four-year playing career at IPFW (2010-13) in which he finished with 277 kills, a .283 hitting percentage and 214 blocks. Samp was also named to the MIVA Academic All-Conference team multiple times. He is a native of Wheaton, Ill.
Samp graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology in 2013. He is pursuing his Master of Arts in Communication degree at QU.
