Quincy University Hawks

2026 (Junior): Pappas started all 13 games during his junior season with the Hawks, putting together a record-setting year on the defensive end. He ranked second on the team with 44 ground balls and led Quincy with 34 caused turnovers, setting a new program single-season record.

Pappas averaged 2.62 caused turnovers per game, which ranked second in the GLVC and eighth in NCAA Division II, while also setting the Quincy single-season record. He caused at least one turnover in every game and recorded multiple caused turnovers nine times. His top performance came against Alabama Huntsville (2/23/26), where he set a new Quincy single-game record with seven caused turnovers. He also caused six turnovers in an overtime win over William Jewell (3/7/26) and scored his lone goal of the season against Lewis (3/21/26).

2025 (Sophomore): Pappas started all 11 games during his sophomore season with the Hawks, continuing to be a key piece of Quincy’s defensive unit. He recorded 37 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers while also adding the first goal of his collegiate career.

Pappas scored his first career goal in a win over Northwood (2/11/25). His top defensive performance came in Quincy’s first-ever GLVC victory over William Jewell (4/26/25), where he picked up a season-high 11 ground balls and caused a season-high four turnovers.

2024 (Freshman): Pappas appeared in 13 games with five starts during his freshman season with the Hawks. He recorded 16 ground balls and caused nine turnovers while also adding one assist. Pappas made his collegiate debut against William Jewell (2/10/24) and earned the first start of his career against Malone (2/24/24). He recorded the first point of his collegiate career with an assist against Davenport (4/6/24).

Personal: Jonah Pappas is from Plymouth, Minnesota, and attended Armstrong High School, where he played for the Falcons. He is the son of Karin and Jefferson Pappas and has two brothers, Noah and Luke. Pappas proudly holds the all-time record for fist bumps given in a single season with 684. His favorite athletes include Anthony Edwards and Josh Allen. He is a fan of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Buffalo Bills.
