Quincy University Hawks

2026 (Sophomore): Essen appeared in all 13 games with five starts during his sophomore season with the Hawks. He totaled 21 points on 11 goals and 10 assists while adding 20 ground balls and seven caused turnovers.

Essen recorded three multi-goal games on the season and added one man-up goal. He also went 1-for-1 in the faceoff circle. His first career multi-assist performance came against Northwood (2/21/26).

2025 (Freshman): Essen appeared in all 11 games with three starts during his freshman season with the Hawks. He finished the year with 17 points on 16 goals and one assist while adding 20 ground balls and seven caused turnovers.

Essen made his collegiate debut against Rockhurst (2/3/25), recording two ground balls and one caused turnover. He scored the first goal of his career in a win over Davenport (2/8/25), finishing the game with a season-high four goals.
