Darrin Bishop

Darrin Bishop was named the second Quincy University men's and women's cross country coach since the programs were reinstated in 2009-10.  Bishop was named the head coach for the QU cross country teams on April 11, 2014.  

Bishop was the assistant coach at QU under Lee Osborn.  Prior to his time at Quincy University, Bishop was an assistant coach at his alma mater, Quincy Senior High School, for 20 years under head coach Kerry Anders.  During his time at Quincy Senior High, Bishop coached several state athletes including a 4x800 meter relay team that went to Nationals and finished 10th in the nation. 
 
Bishop graduated from Eastern Illinois University where he lettered in cross country and track and field.  Prior to EIU, Bishop was a decorated runner at Quincy Senior High School.  Bishop won conference four times in various events and place second in conference twice in his four year career.  Bishop currently holds the QHS school record in cross country and has coached the second to 10th place runners on that list.
