Background
Stokes is a Marshall County, KY native and is a Finance major at Quincy University. Stokes is the son of Missy & Jeff and has a younger brother Jake (15). Stokes’ mother Missy is a former Murray State University basketball player, and her father Jeff is a former Murray State University football player. Stokes is a graduate of Marshall County High School, where he ended with a 3.65 GPA. Stokes played under Terry Birdsong in the Marshals' program and earned Academic All-State honors all four years of high school. Stokes was also involved with Fellowship of Christian Athletes and played varsity football for three years as the quarterback. Stokes was a two-time district champion on the court, and earned All-Region, All-District, and All-WKC (KHSAA) honors. Stokes ended with 1,222 career points and 777 career rebounds on the court, and he also ended with 1,456 passing yards on the football field. Stokes holds multiple school records including most rebounds in a game (21) and most rushing yards in a season by a quarterback (716).
