2025-26 (Sophomore at Rend Lake College): Nesbit Jr. started all 31 games during his sophomore season at Rend Lake College. He averaged 26.4 minutes per game while posting 11.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per contest.

Nesbit Jr. shot 42.6 percent from the field, going 127-for-298, while connecting on 26.8 percent from 3-point range and shooting 68.7 percent from the free throw line. He also totaled 34 steals and 12 blocks on the season.

Nesbit Jr. scored in double figures 18 times, including a season-high 23 points against Parkland College (3/6/26). Defensively, he recorded multiple steals in nine games.

2024-25 (Freshman at Rend Lake College): Nesbit Jr. started all 33 games during his freshman season at Rend Lake College. He averaged 29.9 minutes per game while posting 12.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per contest.

Nesbit Jr. shot 44.4 percent from the field, going 159-for-358, while adding 17 made 3-pointers and shooting 65.1 percent from the free throw line. He also totaled 33 steals and 11 blocks on the season.

Nesbit Jr. made his collegiate debut against Spoon River (11/3/24), finishing with 12 points, one rebound, one assist, two steals, and one block. He scored in double figures 23 times, including a season-high 31 points against Shawnee Community College (3/1/25), where he shot 9-for-13 from the field and 10-for-10 from the free throw line. Defensively, he recorded multiple steals in nine games, including a season-high five against Southwestern Illinois College (12/14/24).

Personal: Nesbit Jr. is from Mt. Vernon, Illinois, and attended Mt. Vernon Township High School, where he competed for the Rams.

Before coming to Quincy, Nesbit Jr. spent two seasons at Rend Lake College. He is the son of Delondria Young and Navontae Nesbit Sr. and has four siblings, Orieanna, Na’Zavion, Na’Kailynn, and Nasseem. Nesbit Jr. also received the Illinois Principals Association Student Recognition Award.

During his high school career, Nesbit Jr. was a 1,000-point scorer and earned IBCA Third Team All-State honors in 2023 and 2024. He was named AP All-State Honorable Mention in 2023 before earning AP Third Team All-State recognition in 2024. Nesbit Jr. was also named the 2023 South Seven Conference MVP, earned First Team All-Conference honors in 2024, and was a two-time SICA First Team All-South selection. He also earned First Team All-State honors in football in 2023.

Nesbit Jr. helped Mt. Vernon win a South Seven basketball championship in 2023 and a South Seven football championship in 2022.

Away from the court, Nesbit Jr. enjoys playing pickleball and spending time with friends and family. His favorite athlete is Kevin Durant and his favorite sports team is the San Francisco 49ers.
