Biography
2025-26 (Sophomore at Kaskaskia College): Liddell appeared in 30 games during his sophomore season at Kaskaskia College, making 28 starts. He averaged 16.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game.
Liddell shot 57.0 percent from the field, going 200-for-351, while connecting on 38.7 percent from 3-point range and shooting 77.2 percent from the free throw line. He also totaled 50 steals and 11 blocks on the season.
Liddell scored in double figures 26 times, including eight games with 20 or more points. He scored a season-high 28 points against Oakland City (11/1/25), recorded three double-doubles, and had multiple steals in 18 games.
2024-25 (Freshman): Liddell appeared in 32 games during his freshman season, making 29 starts. He averaged 12.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.
Liddell shot 48.1 percent from the field, going 167-for-347, while adding 13 made 3-pointers and shooting 70.2 percent from the free throw line. He also totaled 41 steals and seven blocks on the season.
Liddell made his collegiate debut against Missouri Baptist (11/5/24), finishing with eight points, five rebounds, two assists, and one block. He scored in double figures 21 times, including a season-high 25 points on two occasions. He also recorded three double-doubles, all coming in games with double-digit rebounds, and had multiple steals in 10 games, including two five-steal performances.
Personal: Liddell is from Belleville, Illinois, and attended Belleville West High School, where he competed for the Maroons.
Before coming to Quincy, Liddell  spent two seasons at Kaskaskia College from 2024-26, where he earned First Team All-Conference and All-Region 24 honors. He is the son of Eric and Michelle Liddell and has three siblings, Erica, EJ, and Myah.
His father, Eric, played football at Illinois State from 1988-91, where he was a four-year letterman on the offensive line and earned All-Conference honors in 1991. His mother, Michelle, played volleyball at Illinois State from 1989-94, earning All-Conference honors from 1992-94. She ranked fifth nationally in NCAA Division I in hitting percentage and remains among the top 10 in Illinois State history in hitting percentage and blocks. His brother, EJ, played basketball at Ohio State and professionally for the New Orleans Pelicans, Chicago Bulls, Brooklyn Nets, and Aris Thessaloniki in Greece. EJ was a 2019 McDonald’s All-American, back-to-back Illinois Mr. Basketball honoree, 2018 Gatorade Player of the Year, 2020 Big Ten All-Freshman Team selection, and helped lead Belleville West to back-to-back state championships in 2018 and 2019.
Liddell was an honor roll student all four years of high school. In competition, he earned First Team All-Conference honors in both basketball and volleyball, was named team MVP in 2023-24, and received the Roger Mueller Award as the school’s outstanding student-athlete of the year. In volleyball, he earned Third Team All-State honors and ranked in the top three in the state in hitting percentage. He also helped Belleville West win a regional championship.
Away from the court, Liddell enjoys bowling, playing the piano, volleyball, playing video games, yoga, and hiking. His favorite athletes are prime Russell Westbrook and Ja Morant.
