2023-24 (Freshman): Appeared in 9 games for the Hawks and made his first career field goal against Grand Valley State on 11/18/2023. In his 9 games, Taylor averaged 2.4 points, scoring a season high 8 points on 4-5 shooting against East-West University on 12/16/2023.

Personal: Taylor is a talented combo guard from Louisiana, excelled on the court at Shaun Dumas Academy. A two-time Class 2A state champion, he earned 2nd Team All-SWAIC honors and was ranked as the #11 recruit in Louisiana's Class of 2023, as well as one of the top 5 combo guards in the state. Off the court, Me'khai was recognized for his personal growth, earning the Most Improved Student award from freshman to sophomore year. He is the son of Kelbert and Valencia Taylor and the brother of Me'kel and Me'kinin Taylor.
