Biography
2024-25 (Junior): Appeared and started in 22 games, where he averaged 11.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 3.3 assists. Brown's season was halted due to an injury, but still led the Hawks in scoring four times, assists seven times, and steals eight times. Brown had a single-game team-high ten assists against Indianapolis (1/9/25), which was his first double-double as a Hawk, scoring 18 points. His season-high in points was 20, which came against Southwest Baptist (1/30/25). Ethyn was also second on the team with a .835 free throw percentage (63-78).

2023-24 (Sophomore at UIC): Brown appeared in eight games for the Flames, where he scored four points, hauled in four rebounds, dished five assists, and recorded a block and two steals.Â
2022-23 (Freshman at SWIC): In his first collegiate season, Ethyn averaged 8.6 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists. His season-high in points came during his first career game against St. Louis Community College (11/12/23), where he scored 17 points on 5-7 shooting.
Personal: Brown is a 5’11 point guard from Belleville, Illinois, out of Belleville East High School. Ethyn started his collegiate career at Southwestern Illinois College, before transferring to the University of Illinois-Chicago. Belleville East High School, Brown scored over 1,000 career points. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games and cooking. Ethyn is the son of Renysha and Edward Brown and has a brother named Edwyn.
