Jestin Anderson

Jestin Anderson is in his second season (2014-15) as an assistant coach with the QU men's basketball program. Anderson is a part of every aspect of the program, including recruiting, scouting and player development. 

Anderson played under head coach Marty Bell for three seasons from 2003-06 and then served as the program's graduate assistant coach for two seasons from 2006-08.

He makes his return to Quincy after spending two seasons (2011-13) as an assistant coach at Pratt (Kan.) Community College. Anderson assisted in all aspects of the program with the Beavers.

After leaving the QU bench, Anderson joined the coaching staff at Lake Land (Ill.) College, where he was on the staff for three seasons (2008-11). In his final season at Lake Land, he helped the Muskies to a 20-13 record and a runner-up finish in NJCAA Region 24. It was the Muskies' first 20-win season in 10 years.

At both schools, Anderson recruited and coached several players who went on to earn scholarships at NCAA Division I and Division II institutions.

While a graduate assistant with the Hawks, Anderson assisted in all aspects of the program, including recruiting, scouting and perimeter player development. The Hawks advanced to the NCAA Tournament in his first season on staff and were ranked as high as No. 9 in the nation.

Anderson played exactly 100 games in a QU uniform from 2002-06, helping the Hawks to NCAA Tournaments in his final two seasons. The Hawks won the GLVC West in his senior season.

The DeKalb, Ill. native graduated from Quincy in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in management and earned his Master's in Business Administration from QU in 2008.
