2013: Started 4 games for the Hawks...Recorded 12 total tackles and 1 forced fumble.

2012: Played in 11 games starting one at defensive back... Recorded 30 tackles with two for-a-loss... Broke-up one pass.

2011: Shorter played in six games for the Hawks… he finished with 15 tackles (six solo) on the season and made a season-high seven stops at Taylor on Oct. 1… he recovered one fumble… Shorter returned two kickoffs in the season finale at McKendree on Nov. 19, averaging 19.5 yards per return.

Previous School: Attended Illinois State University for one season.

High School: Graduated from Countryside High School...Earned three letters in football..Named All-County as a junior and senior...Served as team captain and named team MVP as a senior...Also played baseball and ran track.
