2025 (Junior): In his first season with the Hawks, Mateo was an elite bat in the lineup. Matt led the Hawks in hits (69), runs (58), triples (3), home runs (14), total bases (124), slugging percentage (.626), and OPS (1.068). He also stole 16 bases and drove in 56 RBIs. Mateo his first home run in a Hawk uniform against Lincoln Memorial (2/9/25) and won GLVC Player of the Week with a monster series against Drury (3/28-29/25), where he went 10-19 with four home runs, including a three-homer game, 10 RBIs, seven runs scored, and two stolen bases.

2024 (Sophomore at Black Hawk): In 57 games, Mateo had a slash line of .382/.466/.676 and drove in 60 runs with 14 doubles, five triples, and nine home runs. He was also 8-9 on stolen bases.

2023 (Freshman at Miami Dade College): Appeared in 28 games and totaled 62 at-bats, where he drove in seven RBIs with one double and one home run.
