Jason Killday is in his sixth (2015) season on the Quincy University football staff, serving in a variety of roles before being named the assistant head coach July 2015. Killday is the primary instructor for the team's quarterbacks and wide receivers and also serves as the recruiting and academic coordinator.

Killday most notably coached the program's all-time leading quarterback and wide receiver in his tenure. Nick Lonergan, a fifth-year senior in 2015, is the career leader in passing yardage and touchdowns, while Justin Dickens, whose final season came in 2013, is tops in the QU record books in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns. Dickens became the program's first-ever All-GLVC first team selection and Lonergan was named a 2015 preseason All-American by USA College Football. The Hawks led the Great Lakes Valley Conference in passing in 2013.

Prior to coming to Quincy, Killday spent two seasons as the offensive coordinator and quarterback coach at Lincoln-Way Central High School in New Lenox, Illinois.  While at Lincoln-Way Central, he helped coach the football team to the playoffs both seasons.

Other previous coaching experience includes serving as the wide receiver coach and co-offensive coordinator with Edwardsville High School and four years of coaching with Sacred Heart-Griffin High School in Springfield, Illinois.  During his time at Sacred Heart Griffin the team complied an overall record of 53-2, including two state championships.

He graduated from Illinois College in 2005 with a B.S degree in Education while also playing the role of starting quarterback his junior season. He earned his teaching certificate from MacMurray College in 2006.

Killday and QU head athletic trainer, Steph Killday (Taylor), were married in July 2015. The couple resides in Quincy.
