Hunter Harris

Hunter Harris begins his ride with the Hawks in the 2024 season. 

Harris comes from Murray State University where he spent the last season as offensive line consultant on the Racers staff.

Prior to rejoining the staff at Murray State, Harris served as the offensive line coach at Concord University under Dave Walker. The Mountain Lions earned MEC Staff of the Year, finished with a 9-2 record, and broke 27 school and  conference offensive records. During that season, Harris oversaw a very productive offensive line unit. The team slashed sacks in half (14-64 yards) and doubled rushing yards (1,698 yards) compared to the previous season.

Harris began his collegiate coaching career at Murray State where he worked for three seasons. He primarily worked as the assistant offensive line coach where he helped the Racers average nearly 350 yards of offense, including 185 yards per game on the ground. Under his guidance, the Racers only surrendered 18 sacks in the 2021 Fall season. The Spring season the Harris along with the rest of the Murray State staff was awarded with the OVC Staff of the Year and top 16 finish in the final polls.

Before moving over to the offensive side of the ball, Harris helped coach the linebackers at Murray State during the 2019 season. In that year, the defense was one of the top ranked units in the OVC.

The Fancy Farm, KY native is a two-time graduate of Murray State as he earned his bachelor’s degree in 2019 before obtaining his master's in agricultural economics in 2020.
