Personal: Mackey is a quarterback from Bloomington, Illinois, where he graduated from Normal Community High School. Chase is the son of Jenny and Tony Mackey. During his senior season, Chase was a unanimous first-team all-conference selection, first-team all-area, an all-state honorable mention, and the team MVP. 

Outside of football, Mackey enjoys fishing, golfing, and hanging out with friends. His favorite athletes are Tim Tebow, Johnny Manziel, and Josh Allen, and his favorite football team is the Chicago Bears.
