Biography
2025 (Freshman): In his first season with the Hawks, Badan saw action in 23 matches for a total of 92 sets, where he had 148 kills (1.61 K/S), 12 assists, 33 digs, and 64 total blocks, which was third on the team. He was also second on the team with 27 service aces and 217 total points. He made his collegiate debut against Roosevelt (1/16/25) with 10 kills, one assist, four digs, and three blocks. He had a season-high 14 kills on 17 attempts against Lindenwood (4/4/25).

Personal:Â Badan is from Novaky, Slovakia, where he attended Stredna Sportova Skola Banska. Tomas has garnered both academic and athletic recognition, earning the Director's Accolade for Great Scholar Achievements and the Director's Accolade for Great Sports Achievements. He was named Best Middle Blocker in the U18 National Championships Slovakia (2023/24 season) and for the U20 category (2021/23 season). Tomas has represented Slovakia at the national level, playing for the U18 boys' team, achieving European Championships Qualification, and for the U20 team, where they secured 11th place in the European Championships after qualification.Â
Tomas is passionate about swimming, reading, and watching sports. His favorite athletes are Dennis Rodman and Anthony Edwards. He is the son of Rudolf Badan and Gabriela Orsulova and has siblings named Matus Badan and Jakub Orsula.
Why QU?
I chose QU because the university presented itself as a home for its students, and I think that is an advantage because I can gain many great contacts along with making strong relationships. This school offers a great management program and I want to help build the volleyball program.
