Quincy University Hawks

2025 (Sophomore): In his second season with the Hawks, Manship served as one of the primary starters, making 15 appearances and eight starts. He threw 55 total innings and had a 5.07 ERA with a 1.40 WHIP. He held opponents to a .220 batting average and struck out 62 batters. Kyle had a 4-4 record with one save and one complete game. He made his first career start against Albany State (2/18/25), where he tossed five innings gave up one run, and struck out a career-high eight. He earned his first collegiate save, getting the final out of a 6-5 win over Lincoln Memorial (2/9/25) and his first complete game came during his final outing of the season against Truman State (5/3/25), throwing the full seven innings and earning the win.

2024 (Freshman): In his freshman campaign, Manship posted a 3-2 record with a 7.14 ERa over 17.0 innings pitched. Kyle struck out 13 batters and made his collegiate debut against Valdosta State (2/20/24). He earned his first career win in his second career appearance after getting one out against Davenport (3/2/24).

Personal: Kyle Manship comes to Quincy University after a stellar high school stint at Fishers High School in Fishers, Indiana. As a Tiger, Manship was an HCC Conference Champion and Class of 4A State Runner-up. His team was also nationally ranked. His favorite player is Kyle Schwarber, and his favorite team is the Chicago Cubs. Kyle’s hobbies include golfing and fishing. Kyle Manship is the son of Tammy and Todd Manship, and he has a sister named Emily.

I chose QU because I liked the campus and wanted to play for a very good Quincy baseball team that is well-coached.
