Quincy University Hawks

2025 (Sophomore): In his second season with the Hawks, Broughton built on his freshman of the year campaign in 2024. He led the team in doubles (12), RBIs (59), walks (23), and sacrifice flies (7). His 59 RBIs ranked third in the GLVC. He hit just under .300 with a .297 average to go along with a .384 on-base percentage and a .490 slugging percentage. Broughton was also second on the team with 18 stolen bags on 20 attempts. He hit nine home runs, including a walk-off homer in the 12th inning against the Colorado School of Mines (3/1/25).

2024 (Freshman): In his freshman campaign, Broughton was second on the team with a .367 batting average, a .480 on-base percentage, and fourth on the team with a .533 slugging percentage. David was also tied for second on the team with 15 doubles. He also tallied six home runs, with his first career home run coming in his second career game against North Georgia (2/17/24). Broughton also drove in 26 RBIs and led the team with 64 runs scored.

Personal: David Broughton comes to Quincy from Fenton, Missouri, playing four years at St. John Vianney High School. An Honor Roll student, Broughton was named first-team all-conference in his final three years of high school. He also won an MCC Championship while breaking the record twice for hitting the most home runs in a single season. His favorite team is the St Louis Cardinals, and he admires third baseman Nolan Arenado. David is the son of Mark and Deanna Broughton and has three siblings--Patrick, Adam, and Emily.
