Biography

Career (2023-26): Pickus spent four seasons with the Hawks, making 12 career appearances. He totaled 12.0 innings pitched and recorded 14 strikeouts. Pickus finished his career with a 9.75 ERA and 2.08 WHIP.

2026 (Graduate): Pickus made six appearances during his graduate season, including five out of the bullpen and one spot start as an opener. He threw 6.2 innings, finishing with a 10.80 ERA, 2.40 WHIP, and eight strikeouts. Pickus held opponents to a .333 batting average on the season.

2025 (Redshirt Junior): Pickus made five appearances out of the bullpen, where he threw 4.1 innings and gave up five runs on six hits, three walks, and four strikeouts.

2024 (Redshirt Sophomore): Appeared in one game for the Hawks, where he made his collegiate debut against Southwest Baptist (4/19/24). In his lone inning, Pickus threw a perfect frame and had two strikeouts.

2023 (Freshman): Did not see action. 

Personal: Son of Jim and Debbie, Alex Pickus is a pitcher from Millstadt, Illinois, and attended Belleville West Township High School. His favorite baseball team is the St Louis Cardinals. Alex has three siblings, Josh, Brandon, and Conner.
