Biography
2024 (Freshman): In his freshman season, Paben appeared in six games, where he rushed six times for 17 yards and recorded five tackles on the defensive end. He made his collegiate debut against Bellarmine (9/14/24), where he recovered a fumble. He registered his first rush attempt against Calumet (9/28/24).
Personal: Drew Paben is from Camp Point, Illinois, and graduated from Camp Point Central High School, where he played football for the Panthers. He was a key contributor to the team’s back-to-back state runs, helping secure a Class 1A State Championship in 2023 after finishing as runners-up in 2022. A standout on both sides of the ball, Drew earned All-State honors as a defensive back and running back, and he was a four-time honor roll student. He is the son of Matt Paben and Sandy Howald and also has a stepmom, Ashley Paben, a brother, Blaize Paben, and two sisters, Madison and Paige Burton. Drew enjoys fishing, lifting, and golfing in his free time. His favorite fictional athlete is Shooter McGavin, and he supports the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Arizona Cardinals.
