Quincy University Hawks

2025 (Sophomore): Campos appeared in all seven games during his sophomore season with the Hawks, totaling 22 tackles with 11 solo stops and 11 assists. He also added 2.5 tackles for loss, one sack, and one interception.

Campos recorded a season-high five tackles against St. Mary-of-the-Woods (9/20/25). He later picked up the first sack of his collegiate career against Oakland City (11/1/25).

2024 (Freshman): Campos made an immediate impact during his first collegiate season, appearing in six games and leading the Hawks with 35 total tackles. He finished the year with 18 solo stops and 17 assists while adding 2.5 tackles for loss, one interception, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.

Campos made his collegiate debut against Bellarmine (9/14/24), recording a season-high 11 tackles. He added two more games with eight tackles during the season and recorded the first interception of his career against Calumet (9/28/24).

Personal: Joell Campos comes to Quincy from Imperial, California, where he competed for the Imperial High School Tigers. The son of Vanessa Villa, Joell, also has four siblings: Klarissa, Ariannah, Eleah, and EJ. On the field, Joell earned Second Team All-Conference honors, showcasing his impact during his high school career. Outside of athletics, Joell enjoys playing video games, hanging out with friends, fishing, and lifting weights. His favorite athlete is Derwin James, and he supports the Los Angeles Chargers and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
