Biography
2024 (Sophomore): As a sophomore, Oliver-Ross appeared in two games, where he recorded two tackles, including a 0.5 tackle for loss.
2023 (Freshman): In his freshman season, Josiah saw action in seven games, where he had four total tackles, including a tackle for loss. He also served as a kick returner for QU, returning four kickoffs for 55 total yards, good for an average of 13.8 yards per return. He made his collegiate debut against Fontbonne (9/14/23), where he returned one kickoff for six yards. His season-long in the kick return department came against Walsh (9/22/23), where he had a 20-yard return, the same game he recorded his first career tackle.Â
Personal: Oliver-Ross is from Sedalia, Missouri, where he attended Smith-Cotton High School and competed for the Tigers. During his high school career, he earned the Character and Leadership All-American Award, joined the 100 Win Club, and was a two-time recipient of the Iron Man Award.
Josiah was also a Missouri Freestyle and Greco State Champion, ranked as high as second in the state, and represented Team Missouri as a varsity wrestler at 170 pounds.
Josiah is the son of Elizabeth and Anthony Ross and has eight siblings: Wesley, Gunnar, Jaiden, Deandrew, Nyia, Malachi, Alana, and Chloe. In his free time, he enjoys fishing and going on long jogs. His favorite athlete is Odell Beckham Jr., and he is a fan of the Seattle Seahawks.
