Quincy University Hawks

2023 (Sophomore): As a sophomore, Elijah appeared in six games, where he recorded three tackles and one tackle for loss. 

2022 (Freshman): In his first season with the Hawks, Leasman appeared in six games, where he totaled 13 receptions for 141 yards and four touchdowns. He made his collegiate debut against St. Mary-of-the-Woods (9/24/22), recording his first career reception. Elijah had a season-high six receptions for 47 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Fontbonne (10/22/22). 

Personal: Elijah Leasman is from Augusta, Illinois, and attended Augusta/Southeastern High School, where he played for the Suns. He is the son of Carrie and Dean Shaffer and has two siblings, Abigail and Piper. During high school, Elijah was involved in the National Honor Society (NHS) and FFA, and was a member of a sectional-winning basketball team. His interests include football, basketball, video games, and outdoor activities like fishing and hunting. Elijah looks up to athletes such as Michael Jordan, Chad Johnson, and Justin Jefferson, and his favorite professional teams are the Philadelphia 76ers, Denver Broncos, and Chicago Cubs.
