Box Score KANSAS CITY, MO - The Quincy University women's soccer team delivered a dominant performance on the road Saturday morning, earning a 4-0 victory over Rockhurst at Bourke Field. The Hawks controlled the scoreboard throughout the match, finding the back of the net three times in the opening half before adding another goal in the second half to secure the shutout.

The biggest storyline of the day belonged to senior forward Rebecca Rheinheimer, who once again made her mark against Rockhurst. Rheinheimer scored twice in the match, with her first goal marking the 50th of her career before her second pushed her career total to 51 goals. Her two-goal performance also continued a remarkable trend against Rockhurst, as Rheinheimer scored both of Quincy's goals in the Hawks' 2-1 victory over the Hawks last season.

Quincy wasted little time establishing its presence in the opening half. The Hawks broke through in the 21st minute when Rheinheimer found the lower right corner of the net to give Quincy a 1-0 advantage. The goal was more than the opening score of the match, as it marked a major career milestone for Rheinheimer.

Just over three minutes later, Quincy added another. Tori Nelson found the lower left corner in the 25th minute, with Jessie Newton providing the assist. The goal marked Nelson's first goal as a Quincy Hawk, giving the sophomore midfielder a memorable moment in a road matchup against Rockhurst.

With Quincy continuing to pressure the Rockhurst defense, the Hawks added a third goal before halftime. In the 34th minute, Emily Richardson put Quincy ahead 3-0, finishing a chance to the high right side of the net after receiving a pass from Gracie Vierra. The goal capped a three-goal opening half for Quincy and gave the Hawks a commanding advantage heading into the break.

Rockhurst managed to create opportunities of its own during the opening 45 minutes, but Quincy goalkeeper Devin Tracy and the Hawks' defense kept the home team off the scoreboard. Rockhurst recorded two shots on goal in the first half, both of which were handled by Tracy. Quincy finished the opening half with three goals on six shots.

The Hawks carried their momentum into the second half and continued to make life difficult for Rockhurst. Rheinheimer nearly added to her total early in the half, firing a shot just high in the 55th minute. Moments later, she made sure her second goal of the afternoon found the net.

At 55:46, Rheinheimer struck again, sending a shot into the lower left corner to make it 4-0. The goal officially moved her career total to 51, giving her a two-goal afternoon.

With a four-goal cushion, Quincy continued to manage the match while Rockhurst looked for a way back into the contest. Tracy came up with several important saves in the second half, including stops on shots from Jacie Tottleben and Caty Burton. Rockhurst also threatened late, with Jazmin Martinez Rangel hitting the crossbar in the 80th minute, but the Hawks' defense continued to hold firm.

Quincy also continued to create chances of its own in the second half. The Hawks earned a corner kick and produced additional opportunities from Jessie Newton and Marina Oberschmid, while the coaching staff rotated players throughout the final 45 minutes to help close out the victory.

By the final whistle, Quincy had completed the 4-0 shutout, limiting Rockhurst to nine total shots while producing 11 of its own. Tracy finished the afternoon with six saves to preserve the clean sheet, while the Hawks' defense kept Rockhurst scoreless from start to finish.

The Hawks received important contributions throughout the lineup. Richardson added a goal of her own, while Nelson celebrated her first career goal as a Quincy Hawk. With contributions coming from multiple areas of the lineup and a strong defensive effort keeping Rockhurst off the scoreboard, Quincy left Bourke Field with a convincing 4-0 road victory.

The Hawks will bring their momentum home as they continue conference play on Wednesday, September 23rd against the University of Illinois Springfield. Kickoff time is set for 5:00 PM.
