INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Quincy University men's cross country team has been picked to finish 12th in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) preseason coaches' poll for the 2026 season. The preseason poll is selected by the league's head coaches who are not permitted to vote for their own team.
The Hawks will be led by head coach Mark Manske as he takes on his first year for both the men and women. Manske was previously coaching at Coe College for two seasons and, prior to that, spent two seasons at Southeastern Community College. Quincy will be open to new opportunities and look to build throughout the fall season.
Lewis was selected to finish first with 121 points, as they won their third consecutive GLVC Championship last year. Followed by Missouri S&T with 105 points, and Illinois Springfield in third with 100 points.
The Hawks will begin their season on Friday, September 4 at the UIS Prairie Stars Invitational hosted in Springfield, IL.
