QUINCY, Ill. – Quincy University Athletics has announced the hiring of Mark Manske as the head coach of the men's and women's cross country programs and an assistant coach for the Hawks' men's and women's track and field programs.

Manske enters his first season at Quincy in 2026-27 and brings four years of collegiate coaching experience to the Hawks.

Manske comes to Quincy after spending the previous two seasons as an assistant coach at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Before joining the Coe staff, he spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Southeastern Community College.

A native of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, Manske brings an extensive background in both cross country and track and field. He competed in both sports throughout his high school and collegiate career and has remained involved in distance running throughout his coaching career.

Manske takes over cross country programs that have continued to develop in recent seasons while also joining a track and field program coming off another step forward in its growth. During the 2026 outdoor season, Katie Park made program history by winning the women's 1,500-meter run at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, becoming the first Hawk to win an individual event at the outdoor conference championships.
