QUINCY, Ill. – The Quincy University women's volleyball program has released its 2026 schedule as the Hawks prepare for year eight under head coach Mark Jones.

Quincy is coming off another strong season in 2025, finishing 24-7 overall and 11-2 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play. The Hawks advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth consecutive season and will look to continue that run in 2026.

The 2026 schedule features 29 total matches, including seven inside Pepsi Arena and 13 GLVC contests. Quincy will open the season with three early-season tournaments before jumping into conference play in mid-September.

Warrior Invitational | Aug. 28-29 | Detroit, Michigan

The Hawks will open the 2026 season with four matches at the Warrior Invitational, hosted by Wayne State University inside the Matthaei Center in Detroit, Michigan.

Quincy begins the season against Northwood on Friday, Aug. 28. The Hawks are 3-1 against the Timberwolves dating back to 2010, with all four meetings coming at neutral sites. Quincy has won the last three matchups in the series, including a 3-0 sweep in 2022 inside the same building where this year's match will be played. Northwood, a member of the G-MAC, finished last season 11-14 overall and 6-9 in conference play.

Later that afternoon, Quincy will face host Wayne State. The Hawks are 2-1 all-time against the Warriors, with the last two meetings coming during the 2022 season. Quincy won both matches by 3-1 scores, once at the Midwest Region Crossover in Hammond, Indiana, and again inside the Matthaei Center. Wayne State is coming off a strong 2025 season, finishing 24-6 overall and 13-3 in GLIAC play to tie for the top spot in the league standings. The Warriors won the GLIAC Tournament before falling in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Hawks will open the second day of the tournament against Indiana University of Pennsylvania in the first meeting between the two programs. IUP, a member of the PSAC, went 23-9 overall and 9-5 in conference play last season. The Crimson Hawks advanced to the NCAA Tournament and picked up a pair of wins before falling to Gannon in the Atlantic Region championship.

Quincy closes the Warrior Invitational against Hillsdale. The Hawks have won both previous meetings against the Chargers, both in straight sets, dating back to 2000. The most recent matchup came at the 2023 Midwest Region Crossover in Hammond. Hillsdale, another member of the G-MAC, finished last season 14-12 overall and 11-4 in conference play.

Cameron Invitational | Sept. 4-5 | Lawton, Oklahoma

The Hawks will then travel to Lawton, Oklahoma, for four matches at the Cameron Invitational, hosted by Cameron University.

Quincy opens the tournament against Minot State on Friday, Sept. 4, in the first meeting between the two programs. The Beavers, members of the NSIC, finished 3-27 overall and 1-19 in conference play last season.

The second match of the tournament will also be a first-time meeting, as Quincy faces Northeastern State. The RiverHawks will be in their first season as a women's volleyball program and will compete in the MIAA. Women's volleyball is one of seven new programs being added by Northeastern State over the next two years.

On Saturday, Sept. 5, Quincy will take on host Cameron. The Hawks are 1-2 against the Aggies dating back to 1990, but won the most recent meeting in 2018 at a neutral site in Magnolia, Arkansas. Cameron competed in the Lone Star Conference last season and finished 7-23 overall and 3-14 in league play.

Quincy wraps up the Cameron Invitational against Newman. The Hawks are 2-2 against the Jets dating back to 2009 and have won the last two meetings, including a 3-0 sweep inside Pepsi Arena in 2023. Newman, a member of the MIAA, finished last season 3-24 overall and 1-15 in conference action.

Christian Brothers Invitational | Sept. 11-12 | Memphis, Tennessee

Quincy's final non-conference tournament of the regular season will take the Hawks to Memphis, Tennessee, for the Christian Brothers Invitational inside Canale Arena. All four matchups will be first-time meetings for the Hawks.

Quincy opens the tournament against Miles College, a member of the SIAC, on Friday, Sept. 11. The Golden Bears finished last season 18-16 overall and 8-11 in conference play.

The Hawks will then face LeMoyne-Owen later that day. The Magicians, also members of the SIAC, finished 4-24 overall and 1-14 in conference play last season.

On Saturday, Sept. 12, Quincy opens the day against Southern New Hampshire. The Penmen, members of the NE10, went 0-26 overall and 0-9 in conference play last season.

The Hawks close the tournament against host Christian Brothers. The Buccaneers, members of the Gulf South Conference, finished 15-17 overall and 9-10 in league play.

GLVC Play Begins on the Road

After 12 non-conference matches to open the season, Quincy begins GLVC action with a challenging road weekend against Lewis and Indianapolis.

The Hawks open conference play at Lewis on Friday, Sept. 18. The Flyers are one of the traditional powers in the GLVC, though they are coming off a down season by their standards after finishing 15-14 overall and 6-7 in conference play. Lewis earned the No. 8 seed in the GLVC Tournament before falling to UMSL in the opening round. Quincy is 7-33 all-time against Lewis and 4-14 on the road, but the Hawks have won the last two meetings, both in straight sets.

Quincy then travels to Indianapolis on Saturday, Sept. 19, for its final conference matchup against the Greyhounds before UIndy moves to the G-MAC. The Hawks are 14-20 against Indianapolis dating back to 1993. The Greyhounds went 22-12 overall and 9-4 in the GLVC last season, earning the No. 5 seed in the conference tournament before reaching the semifinals. UIndy also made the NCAA Tournament as the No. 8 seed and won two matches before falling in the Midwest Regional championship.

Home Opener Against UMSL

Quincy's home opener comes Friday, Sept. 25, against Missouri-St. Louis in one of the biggest matches on the schedule. The Hawks will look to avenge last season's GLVC Championship loss to the Tritons.

UMSL was the GLVC regular-season and tournament champion last season, finishing 26-5 overall and a perfect 13-0 in conference play. The Tritons hosted the Midwest Regional, but were upset by Indianapolis in the opening round on their home floor.

Quincy is 18-50 all-time against UMSL and dropped both meetings last season, including a five-set thriller in St. Louis that was one of the top matches of the GLVC regular season.

The Hawks continue the opening home weekend on Saturday, Sept. 26, against McKendree. The Bearcats finished 6-21 overall and 4-9 in conference play last season. Quincy is 7-11 in the series dating back to 2011, but has won each of the last three meetings.

October Road Tests and Home Stretch

Quincy opens October on the road at William Jewell and Rockhurst.

The Hawks have dominated the recent series against William Jewell, holding an 18-5 record against the Cardinals since 2011. Quincy has won the last 10 meetings and has dropped only three sets during that stretch. William Jewell finished 4-23 overall and 0-13 in the GLVC last season.

The next day, Quincy travels to Rockhurst for a matchup between two teams that tied for second in the GLVC standings last season. Rockhurst finished 22-11 overall and 11-2 in conference play before earning a spot in the NCAA Tournament, where it won its opening-round match before falling to Ferris State. Rockhurst leads the all-time series 28-5 dating back to 2005, but the Hawks will enter the matchup with confidence after defeating Rockhurst in a five-set thriller in the GLVC semifinals last season.

Quincy returns home Oct. 9-10 to host Southwest Baptist and Drury. The Hawks are 7-0 against SBU dating back to 2019, with four of those wins coming in straight sets. The Bearcats finished 8-20 overall and 1-12 in the GLVC last season.

The following day, Quincy hosts Drury in a series that has been tightly contested over the years. The Hawks hold a 12-11 advantage dating back to 2007 and have won six straight against the Panthers. Drury finished 17-13 overall and 7-6 in GLVC play last season, earning the No. 7 seed in the conference tournament.

Midwest Region Crossover

Quincy will step out of conference play Oct. 16-17 for the annual Midwest Region Crossover in Hammond, Indiana. The event brings together programs from the G-MAC, GLIAC and GLVC for three matches and annually features some of the top teams in the region.

Following the crossover, the Hawks will face Illinois Springfield twice in a five-day stretch. The first meeting, set for Tuesday, Oct. 20, in Springfield, will not count toward the GLVC standings. Quincy leads the series 14-8 dating back to 2007 and has won four straight meetings, dropping just one set during that stretch. UIS finished 12-14 overall and 4-9 in the GLVC last season.

The second meeting comes Saturday, Oct. 24, inside Pepsi Arena and will count as a conference match.

Final Road Weekend and Regular-Season Home Finale

Quincy closes October with road matches at Upper Iowa and Truman State.

The Hawks are 5-3 against Upper Iowa dating back to 2019 and have won four straight in the series. Two of those wins came in straight sets, while the other two went five. Upper Iowa finished 7-19 overall and 5-8 in the GLVC last season.

The next day, Quincy travels to Truman State in a rematch of last season's GLVC Tournament first-round matchup. Truman State leads the all-time series 45-28 dating back to 1982, but the recent stretch has belonged to Quincy, as the Hawks have won 12 straight against the Bulldogs. Truman finished sixth in the GLVC last season with a 12-17 overall record and 7-6 conference mark.

The Hawks close the regular season at home against Maryville and Missouri S&T.

Quincy hosts Maryville on Friday, Nov. 6. The Saints finished 15-13 overall and 8-5 in conference play last season, placing fifth in the GLVC standings. The Hawks have dominated the series since 2011, holding a 22-3 record against Maryville during that stretch. Quincy won last year's matchup on the road in straight sets, and the Saints have not won inside Pepsi Arena in that span.

The regular season concludes Saturday, Nov. 7, against Missouri S&T. Quincy leads the competitive series 14-12 dating back to 2007 and has won seven straight against the Miners. The Hawks swept last year's matchup and have not lost to Missouri S&T at home since 2013. The Miners finished last season 10-17 overall and 5-8 in GLVC play.

After four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, Quincy will enter 2026 looking to remain among the top programs in the GLVC and the Midwest Region. With a challenging non-conference slate, several early tests and another loaded conference schedule ahead, the Hawks will look to build on last year's 24-win season and make another postseason push under Jones.
