GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Quincy University men's tennis team saw its season come to a close Friday morning with a 4-2 loss to Maryville University in the GLVC Tournament Quarterfinals.
Maryville took control early by sweeping all three doubles matches to claim the opening point.
Quincy battled back in singles play with two victories. At No. 1,
Inigo Villacampa delivered a strong performance with a straight-set win, while
Gerard Abad Puig earned a three-set victory at No. 4 to account for the Hawks' two points. Maryville secured wins at Nos. 3, 5, and 6 singles to clinch the match, while the No. 2 singles contest went unfinished.
With the loss, Quincy concludes its season with a 13-9 overall record.
