ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Quincy University women's tennis team dropped its second straight match Saturday afternoon, falling 6-1 to Maryville University at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center.

The Saints secured the doubles point by winning two of the three courts. Quincy's lone doubles victory came at No. 2, where Nadia Araguás and Maria Sarria earned a 6-1 win.

The Hawks' lone point came at the top of the singles lineup as Mahi Panchal continued her outstanding season with a 7-6, 5-0, 6-1 victory at No. 1 singles. The win marked Panchal's seventh consecutive singles victory and improved her record to 12-3 overall on the season.

Maryville secured the remaining five singles courts to claim the team result. Heidi Navas pushed her match to a third-set tiebreak at No. 5 before falling 10-7.

The Hawks will be back in action at home on Friday, April 10, when they take on Southwest Baptist University.
