BELLEVILLE, Ill. – The Quincy University women's bowling team wrapped up its 2025-26 season at the GLVC Tournament at Bel-Air Bowl, finishing 1-2 over three rounds of play. The Hawks opened the tournament against second-seeded and No. 14 Newman, rebounded with a win over sixth-seeded Lewis in the consolation bracket, and saw their season conclude against top-seeded and No. 8 Maryville.

Quincy's first-round matchup came against Newman, where the Hawks posted an 871 in traditional play and a 934 in baker action. Mackinzie McPeak led the way with a 192 in game one, while Lillian Fields added a 188, and Hayden Bennett rolled a 180 in baker play. Fernanda Garcia finished with a 212 in the baker portion to help pace the Hawks, but Newman advanced after totaling 943 in team play and 1,122 in baker games.

In round two, Quincy responded with its lone win of the tournament, defeating Lewis in the best-of-three portion after falling in baker play. The Hawks dropped the baker total 919-824, but bounced back to win the best-of-three series 4-1. Hannah Herdklotz led the way with a 190, while Garcia added a 183, and Bennett closed with a 188. McPeak also rolled games of 167, 169, and 172, while Fields added baker scores of 168 and 178 as Quincy moved on in the bracket.

That set up a third-round meeting with top-seeded and No. 8 Maryville. Quincy totaled 834 in traditional play and 980 in baker games, while the Saints put together scores of 898 and 1,085 to end the Hawks' tournament run. Fields led Quincy's traditional lineup with a 182, Garcia added a 181, and McPeak rolled a 177. In baker action, Bennett turned in Quincy's top score with a 215, Fields added a 204, and Herdklotz contributed a 196, but Maryville's depth proved too much to overcome.
