Hawks Drop Pair of Matches in Romeoville

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The Quincy University STUNT team dropped a pair of matches Sunday inside Neil Carey Arena, falling to Ferris State, 23-9, before coming up short against Trevecca Nazarene, 28-8.

Match 1: Ferris State 23 - Quincy 9

Ferris State established an early edge in the opening quarter, taking a 4-2 advantage. The Bulldogs matched that margin in the second quarter, again outscoring Quincy 4-2 to build separation heading into halftime.

The Hawks battled in the third quarter, but Ferris State maintained control with a 4-1 edge. The Bulldogs secured the match in the team routine quarter, scoring 11 points while Quincy added four to bring the final to 23-9.

Match 2: Trevecca Nazarene 28 - Quincy 8

Trevecca Nazarene set the tone early, shutting out Quincy 4-0 in the first quarter. The Trojans continued to build momentum in the second, posting six points to Quincy's two.

Both teams traded points in the third quarter, with Trevecca holding a 5-2 advantage. The Trojans sealed the match in the final quarter, recording 13 points while Quincy added four to account for the 28-8 decision.

The Hawks return to action on February 18 as they travel to San Antonio, Texas, for a two-day tournament.
