Hawks Fall to Saints in Home Matchup

QUINCY, Ill. – The Quincy University STUNT team dropped its second meeting of the season to Maryville University, falling 30-6 inside Pepsi Arena against one of the top opponents on their schedule.

Maryville set the tone early, jumping out to a 5-1 lead in the opening quarter. The Saints continued to apply pressure in the second quarter, holding Quincy scoreless while adding four points to take a 9-1 advantage into halftime.

The Hawks showed signs of life coming out of the break, putting together their best stretch in the third quarter with three points. However, Maryville answered with seven points of their own to maintain control. In the final quarter, the Saints pulled away, posting 14 points while Quincy added two, sealing the 30-6 decision.

Quincy will look to bounce back on Friday, March 27 at 6:00 p.m. in St. Louis, Missouri, as they compete at Missouri Baptist University against Central Methodist. The Hawks previously defeated Central Methodist earlier this season in a 20-19 thriller inside Pepsi Arena.
