Hawks Picked Seventh in 2026-27 GLVC Women’s Bowling Preseason Poll

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Quincy University women's bowling team was selected to finish seventh in the 2026-27 Great Lakes Valley Conference preseason coaches' poll, the league office announced Wednesday.

The preseason poll was determined by the league's eight head coaches, who were not permitted to vote for their own team in accordance with GLVC bylaws.

Defending conference champion Newman was selected as the preseason favorite after receiving all seven possible first-place votes and 49 total points. McKendree collected the remaining first-place vote and ranked second with 40 points, followed by Maryville with 37 and Central Missouri with 31.

Oklahoma Christian was picked fifth with 25 points, Lewis ranked sixth with 20, while Quincy received 12 points to earn the seventh spot. Indianapolis rounded out the poll with 10 points.

The Hawks produced multiple top-10 tournament finishes last season before closing conference postseason play with a 1-2 record at the GLVC Championship.

Quincy has already begun its 2026-27 campaign, opening the season this past weekend at the Mid-States Championships in Wichita, Kansas. Complete results from the event are still being finalized, with a full recap to be released once results have been received.

The Hawks will continue tournament action this weekend, competing at the Warhawk Open from Friday, October 23 through Sunday, October 25 in Rockford, Illinois.
