Quincy, Ill. - Head Coach
Bryan Christiansen announced Jack Miller
as the new swim assistant coach at Quincy University on Wednesday (July 16). Miller joins the Hawks after a decorated career at Frostburg State University swimming and coaching for the Bobcats.
Miller comes to the program's coaching staff as no stranger, swimming under Coach Christiansen in his final year as the skipper of Frostburg State swimming in the 20-21 season. "I am very excited to work with Jackson again, who was a stand-up athlete and gentleman at Frostburg State University" said Christiansen. "We are on the edge of greatness at QU, and Jackson is just what we need."
Miller served as a volunteer assistant coach at Frostburg State last season, helping lead the Bobcats to a Mountain East Conference Championship. In addition, Miller worked as a coach at Dover Area Aquatic Club since 2022, leading the 13-14 year old youth team.
During his collegiate career, Miller was a member of three program-record breaking teams for the Bobcats, also claiming a 200 backstroke program record for himself while earning 15 All-MEC selections, two Academic All-Conference choices, and a pair of Mountain East Conference Championships in 2023 and 2024. In addition, Miller acted as the Bobcats' team captain in his senior season.
Miller is a native of York, PA where he was a 10-time varsity letter winner across swimming, track and cross country, also serving as the swimming team's captain in his senior campaign. Miller graduated from Frostburg State University in the spring of 2024 with a bachelors degree in Health and Wellness Education.
"Thank you to Coach Christiansen, the athletic administration, and the university for this amazing opportunity!" said Miller. "(I am) looking forward to the season and helping this program grow! Go Hawks!"
