Springfield, Mo. - The Quincy University STUNT team continued their inaugural season at the Drury Invite on Saturday morning (Apr. 5). The Hawks took on East Stroudsburg and the host #13 Drury University, but fell to both in the 16-round matches.
East Stroudsburg (L, 17-0)
The Hawks met a new conference opponent in East Stroudsburg. Despite near-perfect performances from the Hawks, the Warriors continued to take the overall points. A perfect, four point jumps and tumbling round from the Warriors put the Hawks under. Quincy couldn't find a round to score a point, and fell to East Stroudsburg 17-0.
#13 Drury (L, 16-1)
Quincy faced the nationally-ranked Panthers in game two, and scored a point in the second round of team routine. A fourth-year program, the Panthers were near perfect in the second half, only scratching four points out of 16.
The Hawks return in Springfield to finish out their last tournament of the season and are set to face Southwest Baptist and Missouri Baptist.
