CLARKSVILLE, Ark. – The Quincy University women's tennis team opened its spring break road trip with a commanding 6-1 victory over the University of the Ozarks on Sunday afternoon at the Alexander-Boreham Tennis Center.
The Hawks (6-5) dominated doubles play, sweeping all three matches by identical 6-1 scores. The No. 1 pairing of Katrin Ismailova and Blanca Salas Cruz, the No. 2 team of Ana Alvarez and Anna Matino, and the No. 3 duo of Brittney Kelly and Nora Hennessy each delivered strong performances to secure the opening point for Quincy.
Quincy continued its control in singles play, winning five of six matches in straight sets. Ismailova led the way at No. 1 singles with a dominant 6-0, 6-1 win, while Salas Cruz and Alvarez followed with flawless 6-0, 6-0 victories at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. Matino added a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 4, and Kelly secured the Hawks' final point with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at No. 6.
The Eagles (1-8) picked up their lone point at No. 5 singles, where Hennessy battled but fell 6-3, 6-1.

Quincy will continue its spring break road trip on March 18, traveling to Fort Smith, Arkansas, to face the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith. First serve is set for 2:30 PM.
