BOLIVAR, Mo. – The Quincy University men's soccer team earned a 1–1 result on the road Sunday afternoon against Southwest Baptist at SBU Soccer Field. With the draw, the Hawks move to 6-3-2 overall and 4-3-1 in GLVC play.
After a defensive opening 45 minutes, the Hawks struck first early in the second half. In the 52nd minute, junior forward
Josh Nwosu capitalized on a Quincy attack and delivered the go-ahead goal to put the Hawks in front, 1–0.
The Hawks continued to apply pressure with chances from
Carlos Moreno Henao,
Ismael Allimadi, and
Paal Vistnes, but SBU's goalkeeper came up with key stops to keep the margin at one.
In the 84th minute, the Bearcats found the equalizer when Ugo Morvan converted on a pass from Fisher Hudak to make it 1–1. Despite late efforts from Quincy in the closing minutes, the Hawks were unable to regain the lead.

Jake Offerman recorded six saves in net, holding firm against 14 SBU shots while QU tallied six attempts of their own. The Hawks also matched the Bearcats in corner kicks, 4–4.
Quincy now turns its attention back home, returning to Legends Stadium on Friday night to host Drury. Kickoff is set for 7:30 PM following the women's game. The matchup will also serve as the program's Breast Cancer Awareness Game, as the Hawks and their supporters come together to honor survivors and raise awareness for the fight against breast cancer.
