LEBANON, Ill. - The Hawks got an early taste of what they can expect in the postseason, facing off against three of the top teams in the nation at the McKendree hosted Bearcat Duals on Sunday (Jan. 26).
QU opened with a 34-10 defeat at the hands of #5 McKendree before dropping a tight 26-20 showdown with #23 William Jewell. The final match of the day against #4 Grand Valley State ended 41-5 in favor of the Lakers to close out the Hawks showing at the Bearcat Duals.
Mackenzie Graves had an easy day of work in 103, taking all three of her matches without facing an opponent while
Madisynn Crawford added a fall victory over Peyton Welt of William Jewell along with a forfeit win in her 207 match against McKendree.
Other winners for Quincy included
Maddy Barton over Marie Pearson of William Jewell by 10-0 tech fall in 138 action along with a fall win for
Trinity Donovan over Paige Barber of William Jewell.

The Hawks gear up for their final tournament of the regular season, traveling north to Des Moines, IA on Saturday (Feb. 1) for the Grand View University Open with action set to start at 9:00 AM.
