Hawks Run Hard at Brissman-Lundeen Invitational

Rock Island, Ill. - The Quincy University cross country program competed at the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational Saturday afternoon (Sept. 28). 

Katie Park was the first Hawk to cross the line for the ladies, finishing in 29th place with a 26:17 in the 6K, which beats her personal best at Quincy and places her seventh in the record book. Briana Obermaier finished next for the Hawks at 28:39.7. Freshman Ava Certa came in at 31:14.8. Carlie Davis and Sofia Coglianese crossed the finish line at 32:07.6 and 33:01/2 respectively. 

For the men's 8K, Thomas Hess was the Hawks' first finisher at 29:42.5. Jude Mintle and Vince Olson finished close together at 30:57.9 and 31:00.9 respectively. Owen Weinfurtner rounded out the group at 32:45.8.

The Hawks come close to home for their next meet at the Trojan Invite hosted by Hannibal-LaGrange.
