QU found the back of the net on three occasions in the first 15 minutes while the Saints did so seven times.
Mason Marano kicked off the scoring under a minute into the game with an unassisted score to put the Hawks ahead. Roughly seven minutes later
Jackson Houston notched the second Quincy goal on a feed from
Jayme Brain before Brain scored one himself in the waning moments of the first quarter to bring the tally to 7-3.
Blaine Lowrance scored the lone goal for QU in the second frame of play, converting on a man-up opportunity to answer a Maryville score that opened the period. MU added four more goals to close out the first half with a 12-4 advantage.
The Saints scored five times in the third period while Lowrance found the back of the net twice more for his second and third goals of the game with the first coming on an assist from
Jordan Ernst.
Christian Czarny and Brain tallied the final two goals for the Hawks in the fourth quarter with the Czarny goal assisted by Ernst. Maryville scored three times in the final 15 minutes to bring the final score to 21-8.
