Sebastian Gomez and
Ettore Pavesi delivered a 6-1 victory in their match against Suero and Hernandez Saracho.
In singles, QU got a win from its one as Villacampa defeated Frezouls, dropping the first set 2-6 before taking the second 6-2 and the tie-break to collect the win.
Joseph Restrepo picked up another win for Quincy, this one in straight sets, taking his match 6-3, 6-4 over Suero of Maryville to put the Hawks just a point away from a victory in the match.
Maryville came away with wins in the three, four and six matches to even the match score at 3-3 apiece. Willing dropped his match to Trigosso (3-6, 6-3, 4-10), going the distance but not finding the burst to make it over the hump. A similar story unfolded for

Marko Cucuk was bested (2-6, 1-6) for the final point for the Saints.
All tied up at 3-3 in the match, the weight fell on the shoulders of Lopez in his fives match against Prentits. Lopez answered the call, taking the first set 6-4 and the second 7-5 for a hard-fought win to seal the Hawks first win in three seasons over the Saints.
Next up for the Hawks is a trip down to Lebanon, IL for a meeting with the Bearcats of McKendree next Saturday (Feb. 26) for a 5:00 PM match.
